Hickory Crawdad’s Fundraisers for 2019

Hickory Crawdad’s Fundraisers for 2019

February 26, 2019 19FEB, Newsletter
The Family Guidance Center will be hosting the Crawdad’s opening night (April 11th) and their Fourth Of July Event (July 4th).
We will be asking volunteers to help with concessions. We are in need of 10+ Volunteers. Since the agency is hosting the concessions we get a percentage of the profits. The more volunteers the better percentage we get and more stands we can run. This will help our agency grow.
This will help with our Domestic Violence Victims (First step programs), Sexual assault Victims and Nurturing adolescents. The more volunteers we have the better we will do on opening night. So gather up your students, and lets make a difference locally all while supporting our local crawdads. This is expected to be a fun night.
If you would like to volunteer please message us or call 828-322-1400 and ask how to volunteer for the specific event. You may also email our Volunteer Coordinator at kmayer@fgcservices.com
Also if you work for a school, agency or anywhere in the community. We would love to hear from you as well and try to get the word out through school bulletins, word of mouth and such. We know alot of students are required to do volunteer work we would love to work with them for this wonderful cause.

Details of that day:
We will have team leads who will arrive two hours early so around 5pm to do training. This will allow our team leads to advise other volunteers on the ins and outs of how the stand will run. In the stand there will be stadium cooks and a stand manager to oversee these operations. They will allow us to help cook and wrap the food if we choose to do so. (I am sure we will) As volunteers we are expected to take orders, serve customers, handle money, make the popcorn and help clean up at the end of the night. We expect to have about 6 cashiers at each stand. The volunteer cashiers must be 18 years or older due to serving alcoholic beverages. The cashiers will go through an initial short training to be qualified to serve alcohol. We will need runners (those under 18) to help with popcorn, reaching into the hotboxes for the orders and bringing them to the cashier. All volunteers are asked to be there no earlier than 5:30pm and no later than 6:30pm to volunteer. The game starts at 7:pm.
