Message From Our Executive Director

June 1, 2020 Newsletter

Good morning,

We wanted to update you on the status of our agency.

Starting Today our office will be open. We have started our day with our normal hours of operation with the following changes. We encourage calling ahead to schedule an appointment due to our staggering staff.

The office will be cleaned and disinfected each day, wiped down, and disinfected regularly throughout the day. Staff will wear masks while they are engaging clients for services this is mandatory. All clients will wear masks while being provided services this is mandatory. We have masks available and they will be upfront if clients need them. We encourage that if you have your own, to bring yours.

All clients receiving services are expected to wear a mask for their protection as well as staff. Social distancing guidelines for clients visiting the office are expected.

Information & Guidelines on Donations coming into our office location will be posted soon. We do have a drop off location at our store.

The Purple Ribbon Thrift Store is offering donation drop off times of Monday & Wednesday’s 9am-12pm. If you want something to go to our safe shelter, label shelter. We will make sure it goes to that location. We hope to open the store soon for shopping so keep an eye out. Online shopping is possible for right now, keep an eye out on their Facebook that may be posted.

Classes – MAT & Life skills will be held weekly in the office with the above guidelines in place. If you need to start these classes call K’leigh at 828-705-1116

Support Groups – Will be held in the office with the above guidelines set in place. Please follow up with your facilitator. If you would like to sign up please call us at 828-322-1400.

Shelter Status – We have and still are operating our shelter as normal. We are offering all services. We are in need of items for new clients, and we are running low. I have listed our amazon wish list here, which will ship directly to our agency. We have ranked our items of most need as “highest” and moved to the of the list.” A lot of these items can be picked up at the dollar tree also.
