NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund Closing July 31, 2019

NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund Closing July 31, 2019

May 7, 2019 19May, Newsletter

Since 2010, the NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund, offered by the NC Housing Finance Agency using funds from the US Department of the Treasury, has helped to keep more than 28,000 homeowners in their homes, saving more than $5 billion in property value all across the state. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the help of partners like you.

We would like to inform you that funds for this program are limited. The last day for application submission to the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency is July 31, 2019, so please encourage any homeowners you are working with to act quickly.

We also ask that you destroy any marketing materials that you may still have for the program and remove any links you may have on your website by July 31.

After this program closes, anyone facing foreclosure can be referred to the State Home Foreclosure Prevention Project at 1-888-442-8188 which offers free help, including housing counseling, access to legal services for homeowners with low incomes and assistance working with servicers.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency thanks you for your tireless efforts helping North Carolinians attain and hold onto affordable housing
