
Nurturing Adolescent Program (NAP) is focused on encouraging a more positive parent child relationship within the family. The target participant for NAP is Department of Juvenile Justice involved youth, at-risk youth in the community, and truant youth, as well as their parents, in Catawba County. NAP works to bring parents and their adolescent(s) together by learning to define feelings, make better choices, appropriately communicate thoughts and feelings, and establish family rules.
Parents and adolescents (ages 12-17) attend class together once a week for 16 weeks. Dinner and childcare (for younger siblings) is provided on-site free of charge.

- Schools
- Self-Referral
- Other Community Agencies
